FOALS
Watch out for this band, their sound is hypnotizing. With sweeping waves of synths and spunky vocals, they make for addictive listening. A mixture of Bloc Party style and Hot Hot Heat energy, this band is a force to be reckoned with. Don’t miss there Vancouver date at Venue (BUY TICKETS).
CANCER BATS
Crunchy guitars, screeching demon like vocals and heavy handed bass lines, this group powers through the rest. For true metal aficionados this is the band to seek. AUTOLUX
A true mastering of deep rich harmonies and subtle complexity. Every song has a beautiful flow and is highlighted by intriguing vocals. This band is very captivating and shows signs of true organic originality; a must see. Not to be missed, check them out in Vancouver at Venue (BUY TICKETS).
THE SWELL SEASON
With feel good, slow time jams, they are the perfect addition to any summer night. Fading, harmonious riffs and near spoken word, soulful vocals, with a hint of folk; truly astounding. The lyrics are poetic and contagious, offering up something deep and meaningful. Various layers make up each song, giving a delicious depth and adding a uniqueness to each piece. BORIS
Explosive, aggressive songs displaying raw yet focused emotional base. A pure generation of a applaudiable wall of sound. Each song is intense, and adrenal; dotted with feint yet perfectly strained vocals. This is far different from most of the music you hear today, and should be absorbed by everyone.
