In case you hadn’t heard, General Motors dropped the naming rights to GM Place. Rogers Communications Inc. stepped in and purchased them, changing the name to Rogers Arena. The rumor mill is flying as to what the new nickname might be; the old one being The Garage. Some people have speculated to it being called The Phone Booth; but this is already taken by Verizon Center in DC. Regardless the renaming or the subsequent renicknaming, the location is the same, the venue is the same. Just don’t be shocked when you start to see exclusive seating for Rogers customers.
